Family Workshop (5-11): Clay Character
Young V&A
From the venue
Design your own clay character! In this workshop, you will imagine and design your own character – would it be happy, colourful, silly, grumpy, big, or small? With guidance from clay artist Nanami Takeuchi, you’ll then learn some tips for working with air-dry clay. Then, bring your idea to life by shaping a 3D clay character to take home.
- This is a family workshop, where adults are required to participate alongside their children. Only children need to have tickets.
- We recommend the ratio to be at least one adult per three children. We are not able to accommodate more than one adult per group.
- This workshop is for children aged 5-11. We regret that due to the nature of materials being used, we are not able to accommodate younger children, and we cannot allow younger siblings without tickets in the workshop room.
- If you are no longer able to attend, please kindly let the V&A know so we can release your places. Please check the details of the workshop before booking. Unfortunately, tickets are non-refundable.
- If the V&A needs to cancel the event due to an emergency, or for any reason beyond the control of the V&A, we will reschedule your booking for a later date or offer a refund.
- Our visual story shows you pictures of the museum and how to access our spaces. Please check our Access page for further information.
- Our workshops are for everyone. We know that visiting a museum as a family requires lots of planning. If you would like further information or would like to tell us about your child’s needs in advance, please contact us by email: yvalearningevent@vam.ac.uk
